UMAC Forms and Rules

At the Unified Martial Arts Challenge, we strive to provide a fair, respectful, and exciting competition for martial artists of all ages and styles. To ensure consistency and safety, all participants must follow our rules and guidelines.

 

Competition Divisions

• Youth Divisions – Kids and teens, separated by age and experience.
• Adult Divisions – Novice through advanced levels.
• Masters Divisions – Experienced martial artists showcasing lifelong dedication.

 

Event Categories

• Forms & Kata – Traditional and creative forms, judged on precision, technique, and presentation.
• Weapons Forms – Traditional and modern weapons divisions, judged on skill, control, and showmanship.
• Point Sparring – Matches scored on clean, controlled techniques with safety equipment required.

 

General Rules

• Respect for all judges, competitors, and staff is mandatory.
• Proper uniforms and equipment are required for each division.
• Safety gear must be worn during sparring (headgear, gloves, mouthguards, etc.).
• Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.
• Decisions of judges are final.
